JAX notices which topics are hard, for you and for the group, so the course can get better. Your organization's admins may see that you could use help on a topic. Nobody sees a grade or a score for you.
This page is generated from the same list the product uses to decide what it is allowed to record. If it is not on this page, Drivia does not record it.
Your choices
Running the course (Always on)
Which lessons you open and finish, your answers to knowledge checks, and your messages to JAX. Drivia needs these to show you your own progress and pick up where you left off.
Noticing which topics are hard (Optional)
JAX looks at how you talk about a topic to spot where the course is confusing. Turn this off and JAX stops doing that for you, starting with your next message.
Counting you in group totals that leave your organization (Optional)
Totals such as how many people finished, rounded and never smaller than a group of 5, that your organization shares with the people who fund it. Your name is never in them.
Until you say yes, you are not counted.
Personalizing with what JAX knows about you (Optional)
JAX uses what you told it, like your goal and how you like answers, to shape how it teaches you. Turn this off and JAX still teaches you, just without those details. Your name, language and what helps you learn stay on.
Counting your results in program totals (Optional)
If you tell us later whether you found work or filed taxes, your program can count it in its totals. Nobody outside your program sees your answer, and it is never asked of anyone under 18.
Every kind of activity we record
Each record says what happened, when, which lesson or topic it was about, and which hat you were wearing. Nothing else about you is added to it.

Which hat you are wearing
The same person can take part in different ways: learning for yourself one day, sitting on a board the next. You pick your hat, and every record carries it (we call it the role_context). It is how a program can tell, for example, what residents found hard apart from what trustees found hard.
learner
Taking the course for yourself.
stakeholder
Taking part on behalf of a group you work with.
trustee
Serving on a board or committee that oversees the work.
owner
Running or owning a business or project the course is about.
resident
Living in the community the program serves.
Who can see what
You, the learner
Your own progress: the lessons you opened and finished and your own messages to JAX.
Your organization's admins
A grid of the whole group by topic, and a stuck list: the names of people who could use help on a topic. They open one person's detail only from that list.
The people who fund the program
Four group totals and nothing else. Any group smaller than 5 people is hidden. Never one person's name or record, and only people who said yes to group totals are counted.
Drivia staff
Everything above, to keep the service running and fix problems.
The stuck list is the one place an admin sees a name next to a topic. It exists so a person who is stuck gets help from someone they know. It never shows a grade, a score or a ranking.
Your JAX conversations. Being an instructor or organization admin does not give anyone access to your JAX conversations. A parent of a child account can read them. A named safety reviewer, who may be an admin given that separate permission, can open one only to respond to a safety or support case or a legal hold. Every opening is logged, lasts 15 minutes, and shows in your JAX history.
How long we keep it
Each organization chooses how long its activity records are kept. If it has not chosen, they are kept until you delete your account. Sign in to see your organization's setting.
The models
The models that notice which topics are hard are open-weight and self-hosted: Drivia runs them on computers it rents and controls, and what you write to JAX is not sent to a third-party AI company to be sorted this way.
On our public website
Everything above is recorded inside the product. Visits to our public marketing pages are measured separately, with these identifiers: dmk_c, dmk_vid, dmk_sid, _fbc. Data from those visits can be sold or shared with advertising partners, as the privacy notice explains. Advertising partners: None at present. We name each partner here before we send it anything, together with a link to its own privacy controls. We never use advertising or measurement tools inside signed-in learning areas, on accounts of anyone under 18, or on any area a school or family provides for younger learners.

How to opt out
The first time you enter an organization you see these choices on one screen, with both optional ones switched on and visible. You can change them any time in Settings, under Privacy. Turning a choice off takes effect from your next action. “Running the course” stays on because the product cannot show you your own progress without it; to remove those records entirely, delete your account.
